What I Truly Saw

Once, I was sitting alone at one of the Mc D branches in Chinatown and this was the scene in front of me. Using my ever faithful camera phone, I captured this. I saw something beautifully rare here. Maybe you can try to guess what I was looking at.

You would think I was focusing on the good looking guy (he's mixed blood) on the right or the gal on the left. However, I wasn't. It was this old couple I was observing.

If I were Mc D's marketing ad person, I would be proud to show this off to show the diversity of age group dining in there. I'm not showing this off for Mc D. I would love to show you photos of old couples holding hands walking down the street in Chinatown or by the lake. However, it's a rare thing to see an old couple, without grandkids, sitting on the high chairs, actually eating french fries!
Not because they were accomodating their young family members but because they both actually enjoy fast food together as a couple. I noticed the old man was having trouble chewing, perhaps his teeth were not that strong anymore. With his shaky hand, he reached for the fries, piece by piece and put them in his mouth. He was truly enjoying them with his wife.

Companionship is more precious than time. Treasure it.
