Dreading the encounter
Tomorrow is the day. Since the horrible argument, I have a face to face meeting with this unreasonable customer tomorrow at their place. What could be worse? We are attending a losing battle. Why? See below.
1. It's going to be held at their territory.
2. They are the customer. (and they're not always right)
3. The team I'm bringing consists of nice, soft spoken pushovers. (except me, who often ends up in hot debates)
4. They are the customer. (arggh...so wat?)
5. They are our customer. (why is life so unfair?)
I already planned to bring some back up. My Business Unit manager. She's one manager I respect and look up to as she has the negotiation skill of a politician. She's young, she's pretty, she's cool!. She agreed to join us tomorrow. Fingers crossed, all should go well. I shall try my best not to look at that damn guy's face. Those who know me well, know that Val either loves them or the extreme other way around. This guy is definitely staying in the extreme other side.
GOod luck to me...and my team.
