Denial?

I woke up with a heavy heart.

I've learnt more about myself and did some self reflections over what happened. No doubt it was pure bliss, I was gliding on the rainbow and floating from Cloud 9 to 900, reality began to sink in that I can't stay on the clouds forever. I must prepare myself to fall down back to earth when the storm comes.

Yes, I know the storm will appear eventually and the clouds could no longer hold me but perhaps living in the denial that the cloud is strong enough to hang on to me despite the coming of the storm would be of great worth. I am already feeling the pain now, I wonder how much worse it could be if ......Or I should just glide down to earth gracefully on the rainbow while it is still there by the cloud.

At least the fall won't be as painful then??

Torturous week

It's only Tuesday?? Why is the week snailing by and the clock seems not moving at all? It's not the best week for me so far and issues at work keep mounting up and I'm going to be facing the music this Thursday during the meeting. That's my job, to let people bash me up while I smile and say Thank you!

I've started Yoga and last nite was my 4th lesson. They're already teaching us the Sun pose and while trying to keep up with the room full with Aunties like myself, I realized that it's HELLUVA challenge but the instructor was doing it like a battery operated robot!!!!

At the end of the lesson, she asked whether anyone had questions regarding the Sun pose. I put up my hand and asked, " Is it normal that while doing the Sun pose, I was seeing Stars?"

Seriously, the steps were complicated, not to mention the parts where you had to control your Breath IN, Breath OUT (Fart out more like it) kinda routine and with my head going up and down, blood rushing left and right, up and down, I was literally seeing STARS up there, close to my 3rd eye! (3rd eye, as told by my instructor, is between our eyes, uhhh whatever.) And I'm not even Anemic and my blood level was Fine!

Anyway, apparently, I'm so new so I'll need more practice and in India, they do this every morning from 4am or 5am until sunrise. Close to hundred times, maybe? RESPECT!

So looking forward to the weekend. This Friday, another 好友帮 crazy party at Baby Pat's place, steamboat, beers and lotsa laughters. Then, Saturday is a good day for weddings and I'm attending one myself along with my uni classmates. Another one of us is getting hitched. It'll be great fun for us to catch up.

Who knows, it might be a special day for me too. (Wink)

The boy I love

This baby needs no introduction and I love how he's slowly growing into a handsome little boy. His baby fat's gone from his active antics, he's also Mummy's little helper at home.

Can you believe that this little 2 yr old baby helps his Mummy to put laundry into the washing machine without being told to?

He loves you immediately when you feed him.

Sexy Mama ...see where he got his handsome look from? His elegant Mama who feeds him well.

Sorry, Sis, I've got to show the below photo. Your new LV bag from the latest collection with your LV purse next to your 'Maria phone' which even maids find embarrasing carrying it. I can now use the phrase you always like to use on me, BO STANDARD!!!

Aiya, just put in the mouth lah....
Pan seared Escolar fish served with parsnip mash, tomato vinaigrette and rocket salad

Since I started to blog about food too, I thought this time, I should show you all what I had when I have lunch with this French family.
Demi-douzaine d’escargots de Bourgogne
Half dozen baked Burgundy snails with tomato and garlic butter
The escargots are really not as irksome as some might fear. Once you try one, you'll find half a dozen is not enough. Best served with bread. Watch it when you put it in your mouth, it's really scalding hot!

Grosses pates maison à l'agneau braisé à la Provencal Handcut
pasta with braised lamb meat, brown jus, tomatoes, garlic, basil and parmesan
Though the French serves duck and beef best, I find the braised lamb phenomenal. The yellow thingy, I have no idea it was pasta but it tasted like creamy risotto. Yummy all the way to heaven!
Mousse au chocolat 66% aux fruits secs Dark 66% chocolate mousse with dry fruits and melted pure chocolate
Of course, the dessert....dark, bitter sweet choc ...sigh...Xiao Xin loved it.

Back home, I had so much fun with Xiao Xin as he showed off his skills in puzzles and taught us all about his cool, 3D books. I could never get enough of this little pumpkin.Muaksss!!

Sammi really Showed Mi!!!

Sammi really showed me in her Show Mi concert that she's not just ordinary singer. She's indeed a Diva. The Indoor stadium was almost full house with ardent fans of herself and of course, fans of Yanzi like Shin, Sann and myself.
The opening song was damn cool. Refer to photo on the left. I was asking Shin what happened to her eyes, Shin replied, "Image, image!" Not only after a few songs, I learnt from Shin also that those were not her original hairstyle. How ignorant of me!!!

When she started to sing, I was awed by her powerful voice. She mentioned that she was actually down with a little flu but her performance was really incredible.

The concert was quite touching in the sense that Sammi was sharing her story, her reason for 1.5yr break. Her love for her family, specially her dad.
I didn't expect that the concert in Singapore would be in cantonese and Shin was busy translating for princess Sann who's a cantonese who doesn't understand cantonese.

Birthday Shin, Sann, Eefu, Pei Shi posing in their seats

Sammi live concert was exceptionally entertaining as she invited 2 overweight fans to sing on the stage with her. Letting them take photos, hug and Sammi humoured us with her mischief and mean jokes. Hilarious!

Regine, Val, Shin, Sann damn excited

Yanzi came out and we blew the whistles as hard as we could. Partnered Sammi, they sang 遇见 and Green Light. Amazing, perfect, HEAVENLY!!!

Unforgettable night, all 6 of us proceeded straight to KTV and performed our own concert until 4am. Power!

To my Mama & Papa

Fate brings people together,
Dates draw people closer,
Words can let people falter,
Trust ought to grow stronger.

There's so much love in between,
And not everything is as it seems,
Already working so hard to redeem,
Nothing is worth it if too extreme.

Tomorrow will sing for the future,
Why let yesterday continue to be a torture,
Lets immerse each other a new overture,
Today, let it be the start of another adventure.

Is it possible?

Is it possible to feel so much emotion in a weekend?
Is it possible to ignore the pain?
Is it possible to be sure and confident?
Is it possible to be possible in all possibilities?

Yummy Fav Fish Meehoon

Oh no, this is the first time blogging about food, but I'm not turning into Cookie Sann yet, thank God. She's the queen of food and if you'll get to know all the best food in town if you know her.
Anyway, back to my first entry on food. Yummy! I love fish and Singapore's famous for their fish head meehoon/ steamboat fish meehoon. I don't know how to describe the taste as there's milk, ginger, vege, fried/fresh fish, I just know it tastes like heaven. Why no one has brought me here before?

Anyway, this one in Bugis is not bad. Do ask me to bring you guys there when you're visiting me one day.
I love the sour plum drink too.

Only $4.80!!!

I'm going back there to try the one with XO cognac.

The danger of falling...Pt 2

I remembered calling for Help!
Alas, I edged over to the side of the narrow cliff and opted to jump.
The wonderful feeling of falling in freedom.
I loved the feeling of wind gushes against my face.
Wish it would last forever....but

Splat!

Don't even try to tell me what I hit.
