My definition of confession definitely includes admittance of certain truth or honesty and naive silliness, narration of foolish statements or owning up to things you shouldn't own up to. Not to mention disclosing a statement or exposure and revealing complete rubbish. At least it is to some people. Nonsense utterance and proclamation which is indeed a recitation of self humiliation.

The antonym of confession is denial. Which I think I would choose to be in from now on.
